¿Alguna vez te has preguntado cuánto consumen los dispositivos electrónicos que usamos diariamente?
Con alta probabilidad tu respuesta será: ¡no! Y la razón es muy sencilla, porque normalmente no tenemos una manera fácil de visualizar ese consumo y simplemente esperamos a que nos llegue la críptica factura que pagamos mensualmente.
En esta ocasión el equipo de VCCP pensó que sería interesante diseñar un enchufe a modo de cortafuegos que limitara el consumo a 1KW, de tal forma que una vez consumidos esos vatios se cortaría el suministro eléctrico mostrándonos de una manera práctica lo mucho o poco que consumen nuestros aparatos eléctricos como: el cargador del movil, del portatil, el secador, la aspiradora...
A partir de esa idea diseñamos un dispositivo portátil totémico que tuviera esa función y al mismo tiempo fuera un objeto de deseo.
Cada uno de los dispositivos integra un pequeño display donde el usuario puede observar una cuenta atrás cuando comienza a consumir 1KW. También puede interrumpir el consumo y continuarlo posteriormente con el mismo aparato eléctrico u otro diferente, hasta agotar el consumo de 1KW. Una vez agotado el consumo, nuestro dispositivo actúa como cortafuegos y te indica en el display que tu consumo ha llegado a su fin. ¡No te asustes! puedes volver a empezar y resetear el dispositivo pero ¡ojo! con eso ya te habrás dado cuenta de cómo es el consumo que hacen tus aparatos eléctricos.

Have you ever wondered how much the electronic devices we use daily consume?
It is most likely, your answer will be: no! And the reason is very simple because we do not have an easy way to visualize that consumption and we simply get a cryptic invoice that we pay monthly.
To find a solution to this problem, the VCCP team thought it would be interesting to design a plug as a firewall that limited consumption to 1 Kilowatt so that after consuming that 1KW, the device would cut the power supply. The plug shows us in a practical way how much or little our electrical appliances such as the mobile phone charger, the laptop, the dryer, the vacuum cleaner consume.
From that idea, we designed a totemic portable device that had the function mentioned above and at the same time, it is a desirable object.
Each one of the devices integrates a small display where the user can observe a countdown when it starts consuming 1KW. You can also discontinue the consumption and continue it later with the same or different electrical device until the consumption of 1KW is exhausted. Once the consumption is exhausted, our device acts as a firewall and indicates on the display that your consumption has come to an end. Do not panic! you can start over and reset the device but beware! with that, you will have already realized what is the consumption of your electrical appliances!
